Great online resource for genealogy...
Although there may be inaccuracies, the bulk of the information seems correct, and matches what I've found in other places. It appears to have been thoroughly researched and proofed sufficiently that there are few typos - which gives me some confidence that other information (dates, etc.) is also correct. The only bone I would have to pick is that (as with all such family histories) the author went into detail only within his branch of the family; where it diverges from my branch results in my having limited information for my own research.
Keep in mind that this book was published in 1900, so has no information for more recent generations of the Bemis family.
A note here for Open Library / Internet Archive: THANK YOU. Thank you for digitizing thousands, if not millions, of books, and for making these volumes available online at no cost. Thank you thank you thank you.
